MELODY

Melody is a Virginia based (DMV REPRESENT!) songwriter, vocalist, musician, and producer. Melody is known for transcending multiple genres and sounds in all the music she creates. Her voice is notable for it's richness, agility, and authenticity. 

Melody was born in her Grandmother's basement in Fairfax, Virginia. Coming from a family with a heavy musical and artistic background, it did not take her long to develop a insatiable passion for both. Raised in the Church, she began singing in choir at a young age. She then began songwriting and playing guitar at the age of nine. This was the moment she knew she wanted to be a star. 

"My musical influences are expansive," says Melody, "and may not make sense to some." Ari Lennox, Electric Light Orchestra, Masego, Switchfoot, Jazmine Sullivan, Jason Mraz, and the Beatles are just a few of the names she credits for her musical style. Melody's sound can be described as ethereal, soulful, warm, and catchy.
